I was disappointed to here few ‘IT’ related companies took on students for work experience this year – hopefully after some feedback from employers we’ll be able to change the format/dates for next year and future students.
Good luck on your placements,
Euan
Latest news – The UHI University will be moving to a new email system by the 1st August 2012. This will be hosted by Microsoft in its Data warehouse in Dublin on its Office 365 Platform.
This will give Staff and Students access to one of the most feature rich and modern email systems available anywhere in the world.
All staff and students will be able to store up to 25GB of email and have access to all the email services from any modern smartphone or portable device.
In later phases of the project we also plan to allow access to personal SharePoint sites and access to the Linc instant messaging system.
Any student can attend – FREE LUNCH – vouchers from reception for those attending.
Contractors will be there to answer any questions.
After our last Course Team Meeting I’ve enquired about a bus-shelter for students – the college has requested this from ZET-TRANS – but the college has had no answer as yet.
